What we show, and what we never do

Public record, shown as published. Aircraft registration in the United States is a public record. The FAA publishes owner names and mailing addresses in its daily download, and this site shows exactly those fields, exactly as the FAA publishes them, and nothing more.

Withheld stays withheld. Under 49 U.S.C. § 44114(b), an aircraft owner can ask the FAA to withhold their name and address from public files. When the FAA does so, the fields arrive blank in the download and are blank here too, the same morning. To request this, contact the FAA Aircraft Registration Branch: faa.gov, Aircraft Registry.

Individuals are never named in lists. On tracker pages, drone fleet tables, maker pages, state pages and search results, aircraft owned by individuals or co-owners show as "Individual owner". Company, LLC and government names are shown because they are business records. The single-aircraft page, reached by typing a tail number, shows the FAA record in full.

No search by person. You cannot search this site by a person's name. Searches match makers, models and company names only.

Nothing added, nothing combined. We do not add data from other sources, do not combine registrations with any other records, and do not build tools for finding where a person lives.

Crawlers and AI systems. We allow them, because public aviation data is more useful when it is easy to find and cite. They receive the same pages as everyone else, with the same withheld fields.

Corrections. The data is the FAA's. If a record about you is wrong, the correction has to be made with the FAA, and it will appear here the morning after the FAA updates its file. If this site is displaying something the FAA does not publish, write to information@eflight.com and we will fix it.
